Outreach & Missions

Our heart at Awaken Church is to share the good news of God through words and actions. As such, we are proud and honored to partner with organizations both here in San Diego and around the globe that are making a positive impact within the community.

Community Outreach

In Mark 16:16, Jesus says, “Go into the world. Go everywhere and announce the Message of God’s good news to one and all.” In Matthew 5:14-16 He says, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” [NIV]

Local Partnerships

Our responsibility, first and foremost, is to reach out to those in our own backyard, the city of San Diego, by meeting practical needs and sharing the Good News of Jesus with people. We are dedicated to raising and releasing each believer to fulfill the Great Commission. We each have a responsibility to do the work of the ministry (James 5:13). Our desire is that people will see the city they live in as their mission field and be the solution to this hurting world.

The Bible says, “All power is given unto Me in Heaven and on earth. Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
