What happens at an Awaken Youth service?

Every service starts with a pre-party that includes music, snacks, and mingling, with the purpose to connect every teenager with a leader and a new friend. Then we go into Service that includes praise and worship, games, an inspiring preach, and ministry time/opportunity to pray for anyone who needs prayer.
 The Afterparty follows service with different games, dancing, connecting, DJ, and fun.

Safety Info

Every youth leader over 18 years old is background checked and screened, and we have an average ratio of 1 leader to every 5-8 youth. We also hire an off-duty officer (ODO) to supplement our security team. Your child’s safety is our highest priority.

Our leaders are not babysitters, parents, or professionals, but are commissioned to love and lead our youth. We view them more as coaches, exemplifying what it looks like to live a life after God and how to make wise choices.

Why does Awaken Youth play edited secular music?

We play music that everyone can relate to. We DO NOT play any music that is explicit or has any swearing. However, when we stay relevant to the music, we have found it easier to reach unsaved people. To some, the church is a new and uncomfortable place to be. When we play music that they are familiar with, they feel more at ease and more willing to be a part of our services.

Can I, as a parent, come to Awaken Youth?

If you’re curious about what we do, we’d love to have you come to check it out. However, as part of our security procedures, we ask that a security team member accompany you throughout the night.
